Lantern File PhotoCHICAGO — Three Ohio State players have been named to the Big Ten’s third annual Preseason Players to Watch list.Senior quarterback Braxton Miller, junior cornerback Bradley Roby and junior linebacker Ryan Shazier were all named as Leaders Division players to watch, the Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday.Miller was the only player to receive a unanimous vote for the list, among all 10 nominees. This is his second consecutive year to make the list.Miller is in attendance at Big Ten Media Days in Chicago Wednesday and Thursday. Roby was set to join him but was replaced last-minute by senior safety Christian Bryant after Roby was arrested Sunday in Bloomington, Ind., and charged with misdemeanor battery.The list, made up of five players from the Legends Division and five from the Leaders Division is selected by a media panel.Other players in the Leaders Division to make the cut are Allen Robinson, a Penn State wide receiver and Chris Borland, a Wisconsin linebacker.The Legends Division players to watch are Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner, Michigan offensive tackle Taylor Lewan, Michigan State linebacker Max Bullough, Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez and Northwestern running back Venric Mark.Miller took fifth place in Heisman voting last year and his 2012 season 1,271 rushing yards is the second most in Big Ten history. He was also named the Big Ten’s Graham-George Offensive Player of the Year.Roby was named a first-team All-Big Ten Conference performer by both the coach and media polls after the 2012 season. Shazier was named a first-team All-Big Ten conference performer by media.All five honorees in the Leaders Division were first-team All-Big Ten selections last season.
