Several young Liberian girls and boys are employed as workers in the restaurant.Nimba has been the home to the Bangladeshi Peace Keeping contingent with the United Nations Mission in Liberia/UNMIL since 2004. Because of the Bangladeshi being friendly in their mission, they were involved in sharing food and inviting stakeholders to so banquets.Because of their hospitality, children nicknamed them, “Bangladesh chop, chop”. In spite of the UNMIL drawdown, the Bangladeshi contingent will be forever remembered in the Nimba for their impact on the county, which include the birth of Internet services in that part of the country. Many Bangladeshis from UNMIL have expressed willingness to come back and do business in Liberia. And while none have returned, the opening of this food center seems to have brought back some good memories from when the peacekeepers were around.Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)last_img read more
