first_imgThe end of season awards are almost upon us, as the players decide who to crown the Premier League’s top dog.We asked some of talkSPORT’s presenters, all former top players themselves, who they would vote for as their player of the year…Dietmar Hamann: “My player of the year is Eden Hazard. He’s been by far the best player in the Premier League and he’s one of the big reasons why Chelsea are so far ahead at the moment.”Danny Murphy: “Eden Hazard. He’s been Chelsea’s best player, which is a plaudit in itself, and has been the one who has been consistently as his best. He’s a match-winner, he has the ability to beat people and to score goals. He’s been the outstanding player in the Premier League this season and just seems to be getting better and better.”Michael Gray: “This was a very close contest with Harry Kane, but it’s got to be Eden Hazard. What a season he’s had. Could he get any better from last season? Yes, he’s proved he can. He’s playing for the team that looks like they will be Premier League champions and that’s down to the form he’s shown throughout the season. His consistency levels just get higher and higher.”Alan Brazil: “One or two come to mind but I think Chelsea will be champions, so it has to be a Chelsea player and that man for me is Eden Hazard. He has been superb. He went through a funny little spell when Jose [Mourinho] said he wasn’t working hard enough, but now he’s a revelation. The way he runs at defenders scares the living daylights out of people and he’s my player of the year.”last_img read more
