THE KIDS OF CREESLOUGH ARE CLEANING UP!

first_imgThe kids from Creeslough aren’t afraid to get stuck in.When it comes to looking after their local environment, the kids of Creeslough are cleaning up!This week the children of SN Glasáin, Creeslough carried out a Day of Action against litter. This will go towards helping them achieve their first Green Flag for Litter and Waste which they have been working towards for the last number of years. It was a wet and cold day but everyone was in high spirits as they left the school to carry out a big clean up on the roads surrounding the school.Sitting at the foot of Muckish the local scenery is stunning and the children and wider school community are committed to keeping the school and surrounding area litter free. Some of the other activities the school is undertaking include a trip to the Recycling Centre in Letterkenny and they also have invited Donegal County Councils Environmental Protection Officer Suzanne Bogan to come in to speak in the school. The school will undergo assessment in the coming months and hope to have our Green Flag Flying by the end of this school year.
