Bidstack hosting £25,000 Football Manager tournament at Insomnia Gaming Festival

first_imgAdvertising company Bidstack will be hosting a Football Manager tournament at Insomnia Gaming Festival in March, with a prize pool of £25,000 as well as a unique opportunity courtesy of Norwich City Football Club.The Football Manager World Esport Championship 2018 takes place at Birmingham’s NEC Arena in Birmingham from March 30th-April 1st as part of Insomnia 62 and has been organised by Bidstack and the superb Community Sports Foundation, which supports some of the most disadvantaged, disabled and talented people across Norfolk through sport.The winner of the 64-man tournament, which any Football Manager can enter to play in, will not only receive their £25,000 winnings but will also have the chance to manage a team of Norwich legends against Inter Forever, the club’s official legends team, featuring the likes of Javier Zanetti, Marco Materazzi and even more to be announced.James Draper, CEO of Bidstack, said: “We’ve created this tournament to unearth the best manager in the virtual world – and then bring that person into the real world of football management. We wanted to create a new esports tournament to prove to the market Esports skills are transferable.”The tournament will utilise Football Manager’s ‘draft’ mode, in which gamers can draft players into their team one at a time, with player and budget restrictions playing an important part in the selection process.Registrations for the tournament close on 26th February, so you still have a few weeks to get yourself accustomed to the best tactics available to you.
